“Face It, Tiger” now streaming everywhere!

IT’S FINALLY HERE! Our latest single, “Face It, Tiger,” is now streaming everywhere!

“Face It, Tiger (You Just Hit The Jackpot)” was pretty much the first good song we ever wrote as a band. We recorded a version of it on our first EP back in 2007/8, but thanks to some hard drive issues, we never quite got to polish it off the way we wanted it to sound. (Though it is still one of our top played songs on Spotify, so that’s cool, I guess.)

This new, definitive version of the song was started during our July 2023 recording session at the Record Co in Boston, then finished off at home, before being mixed by Reade Wolcott from We Are The Union. This was the first time we’ve ever hired an outside mixing engineer for our one of our songs, which was a big deal for us (we’ve typically handled all of our own production). But Reade was an utter delight to work with, and she really made the song pop in a way that we never could have done ourselves. Then once again, we handed the finalized track over to Dereck at Quiethouse Recording to add the final polish for mastering.

The album art was done by our pal Dave Ganjamie — an excellent illustrator in his own right, who also tattoos at Red Baron Ink in Manhattan. (And who also coincidentally got married by Elvis on the same day the song came out.)
